Stephen Klebetz has worked with his hands since his vo-tech days. After HVAC trade school, he spent years installing and fixing systems for other companies. He even went back to West Side Career and Technology Center to teach the trade. And he kept seeing homeowners bounced from salesperson to technician to office, with nobody owning the job.
Cody Orr grew up here too, and he learned his work habits in the Air National Guard. Integrity, doing what you say you'll do, and respecting people stuck with him. The two had been friends since their days working together at a local country club.
In November 2021, they launched KO HVAC, with Stephen answering every call and driving to every job. Cody kept his full-time job and gave KO HVAC every evening and Friday, until the phone wouldn't stop ringing. So the two sat down, and Cody came on board full-time.
The idea was simple then, and it still is. You deal with the people who own the company, from the first call to the final cleanup.
“
"KO HVAC comes down to three things. We do what we said we'd do, we charge what we quoted, and we take care of your home."
Cody Orr, co-owner
Nearly five years on, that's still how we judge a good day's work.
Meet the K and the O
The Owners You'll Meet, Not Just Hear About
KO stands for Klebetz and Orr. Say it like a knockout: K-O HVAC. When you book an estimate, an owner comes to your home. So the person quoting your job is the one who answers for it.

Co-Owner · System Design, Estimates & Installation
Cody Orr
Designs every system around the house it goes in. Cody writes KO HVAC's estimates, designs each system, and sets up the install crew every morning. Around here, one house might be 20 years old and the next 120, with steam radiators, oil heat, or no ducts at all. So Cody builds each estimate around how that home is heated and laid out. For you, that means a plan made for your house and one person accountable from quote to cleanup.

Co-Owner · Business Operations & Maintenance Plans
Stephen Klebetz
Keeps the company behind your job running right. After years in the field and in the classroom, Stephen now runs KO HVAC's pricing and maintenance plans. He calls plan members himself, so your questions get answered by someone who knows the trade. Because he's done the work and taught it, he prices every job so it makes sense to you and to the technicians doing it.

Six Promises You Can Hold Us To
No Surprises, No Pushing, No Mess
01
You'll understand your system before we leave.
We show you what failed, explain why, and price each fix in plain words. No jargon, and no nodding along to something you don't follow.
02
Options, not a pitch.
You'll see more than one path, with prices and trade-offs side by side. Not every option fits every budget, but we'll always explain each one.
03
Prices before work starts.
Repairs start with a $99 diagnostic and a flat-rate price, and installs get a written estimate. You approve the number before any work begins.

The Credentials Behind Every KO HVAC Job
Don't Take Our Word for It. Look Us Up.
Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor Registration PA169105
Pennsylvania requires home improvement contractors to register with the Office of Attorney General. Registration means proving liability insurance of at least $50,000 for injury and $50,000 for property damage.
Why it protects you: Any job over $500 needs a written contract with our registration number, the price, and start and finish dates. That puts every promise in writing, under the state's consumer protection law.
Federal law requires this certification to buy or handle refrigerant. Technicians earn it by passing an EPA-approved exam on recovery, leaks, and safe disposal.
Why it protects you: When we replace your system, the old refrigerant is recovered by law, not vented outdoors. Your new system is charged by someone legally cleared to handle refrigerant.
Fully Insured
KO HVAC carries liability insurance on every job, at or above the amounts Pennsylvania requires of registered contractors.
Why it protects you: If something in your home is damaged during the work, our insurance covers it, not your homeowner's policy.
Mitsubishi Electric Elite Diamond Contractor
Elite is the top tier of Mitsubishi Electric's Diamond Contractor program, held by fewer than 5% of its U.S. contractors. It requires advanced training, fast response standards, and ongoing checks on service quality.
Why it protects you: A registered Mitsubishi system we install in a single-family home qualifies for up to 12 years of parts and compressor coverage.
KO HVAC is a listed Carrier dealer, so we sell, install, and service Carrier equipment.
Why it protects you: New Carrier systems we install qualify for 10 years of parts coverage when registered within 90 days.
Verify it: Find KO HVAC in the dealer locator at carrier.com.
Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce Member
KO HVAC belongs to the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce, the business network for Pittston and nearby towns.
Why it matters to you: It ties us to local businesses and neighbors who see our work and can vouch for it.
